Finding the perfect location is very important for this shoot as it is an important factor to our concept. We need to find a range of workplace/warehouse/shop spaces to convey how the skills that education provide you with are treated in the same way as shopping. Employers only want staff with the best skills and education so when someone with a more impressive CV comes along the previous employee is forgotten about.
Originally we asked at the shop fitting supplies in Preston, however they were reluctant to let us use any part of their premises due to health and safety reasons. I contacted the manager of a shopping centre in Preston and he was incredibly helpful and has given us permission to use one of the centre's vacant shops including access to their stockroom which is a bonus. I will update the post with photos of the location when I received them off Becky.
We have decided to do the shoot on the 18th April as the shop will be occupied by a new tenant the following week. We need to confirm a couple more models and get the styling sorted...
